Captain Lord Mansion – Practice Makes Perfect

by Marti Mayne / Oct 27, 2008 / 0 comments

Rick and Bev Litchfield have been innkeepers and owners of the Captain Lord Mansion in Kennebunport, ME for more than 30 years.  In innkeeper years, that’s a lifetime! If you know me, you know that I LOVE water. My favorite body of water? Lake Michigan. There's something so timeless about the big lake. Huge waves, small lapping waves, kid playing, surfers, kiteboarders, swimmers - it is just lovely. And, no salt - just fresh, clear water.

Here are a few photos from a recent trip to Lake Michigan. The water is too cold to swim, now, and the air is so crisp that the colors seem to pop out even more. The beach was deserted.  These photos were taken up by our cottage, in Onekama, Michigan.
