Visiting The Cristobal Balenciaga Museum in Getaria, Spain

Fashion-focused Americans, curious about what Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly, and Spanish royalty once wore, should put the Basque town of Getaria high on their list of must-see travel destinations.

The medieval town in northern Spain is now home to the Cristobal Balenciaga Museoa, the world’s first museum dedicated exclusively to an iconic fashion designer.  In fact, the 54,000-square-foot, $30 million dollar museum celebrates its first anniversary next month.

Notorious for its nightlife and lazy days by the beach, it’s fair to say Cyprus has all the components for the ultimate beach break abroad. But it’s not all drinking, dancing, and daydreaming in this pocket of the Mediterranean. The Greek Island also offers a wide range of activities to sink your teeth into. So whether you’re sampling the local wine, crawling through prehistoric tombs, or exploring the diverse landscape, there are plenty of ways to soak up the Cypriot culture outside of the pubs - all while being easy on your wallet.

The homeless man that had the brilliant idea of turning the pillbox into a public urinal clearly has a good taste in vistas, but horrible locating skills. I mean, who hikes up a steep slippery slope, and along a rough ridge, to pee? The world is a strange place...

One of Florida's most famous attractions is the Everglades National Park. The Everglades National Park is nearly 2400 square miles and is a fun place to explore. Be prepared though - it is a giant swamp which can mean a lot of mosquitos and hot humid weather.

Royal Palms Visitor Center is one of three visitor centers and is a good place to start. It has a helpful little museum with a movie. Kids can also get their Junior Ranger activities here.

Miami, Florida is one of the most desired destinations in the world. Although synonymous with the glitz, the glamour, partying until dawn and sun-drenched days on the beach, the Magic City has also become a Mecca for art and culture.

Today I am writing up on my favorite island in Stockholm's archipelago as of yet, the island of Utö. Last year, I felt that I wanted to go a bit further out on the archipelago and not only an hour away, so my friends and I decided to take a three and a half hour ferry ride to the island of Utö! I was smitten the second I stepped off of the boat, I had an instantaneous feeling of happiness and excitement for the day ahead of me.

So last year Sweden's National Day (June 6) fell on a Monday making it a long holiday weekend the first weekend in June. This combined with perfect sunny weather pretty much sealed the deal to be out in the archipelago once again. I was invited out to my friend's boyfriend's summer house out on the island of Muskö. Muskö is located on the southern part of the archipelago and is home to about 900 permanent residents year round.

Today I am writing about one of the most popular islands of the Stockholm archipelago, Sandhamn. Sandhamn has about 100 permanent residents that live all year on the island and the island gets about 100,000 visitors annually. During the summer, the number of residents increases to about 3,000, making it very crowded! I have had the opportunity to go both in the winter and the summer months. Naturally summer is more exciting and fun as there is more going on and you can enjoy time by the sea soaking up some sun and then meet up with friends for a drink and dinner.
