The New Church
One day, my family decided to go to a new church for mass. We were all excited for the new experience as we drove down in the perfect sunny breezy day to Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in a nice cheery big town thriving with people, to the gorgeous building bursting with color, near the nicely trimmed lawn and neatly drawn parking spaces. You might not want to wear short sleeve dress up clothes, just to be presentable and respectful.
When you go inside the church, you are greeted with extraordinary designs and decorations adorning the walls and ceiling. You have two seating options once you’re inside. One is up on the second level, and the other is on the first floor. It’s a great mass because it’s in the original language of Catholic masses - Latin. But it might be a little hard to follow because of that.
As you listen to the beautiful sermon and stories, you can take some time by soaking up the delight of the place. Literally before you know it, you’ll be receiving communion at the altar, and coming back down the long aisles stretching to the back of the huge church. As you sit through the last closing comments of the mass, you think “Gee. Some experience we had today,” with awestricken looks on your faces.
As you exit the big structure, you could cut around to the back yard because maybe on occasion there will be a tag sale where they have really great antique items for cheap. While you’re there, check out the delightful sights of the back yard and what’s in it.
So try to experience new adventures for yourself - it really takes you places. I promise you, a new adventure is something you will never forget.
