Educators play a vital role in the community and in the lives of students; the Global Educator fellowship is a unique opportunity for educators to experience another culture and ultimately enhance their teaching through the exposure.

Global, meaningful and useful experiences for Educators
-Instruct a class in your field

Program integrates the previous experiences and skills of the teachers while providing opportunities to acculturate to new standards and expectations on teachers, students, parents and communities in a different culture.    
-Explore another culture through experiential learning

Internationally-experienced teachers bring international perspectives and intercultural dimensions to conversations with colleagues and students.
-Engage other educators

When educators share best practices, both learning and teaching becomes more effective and authentic.

Fellows will reside in apartment style accommodations during their 7 night stay in Dakar.

April 3: Travel (night before)
April 4: Arrival/ Visit to offices /Welcome dinner
April 5: Orientation / Roundtable with local educators
April 6: Visit Dakar excursions
April 7: Creative learning workshop, planning/meeting day, visit Dakar
April 8: Educators instruct at local schools/ universities
April 9: Educators participate in panel on education, dinner with special guest
April 10: Sightseeing/ Shopping
April 11:  Travel / Return
Dates: April 3-11, 2015
Program / Accommodation fee: $1,200
Travel fee: $1,200 - $1,500, depending on departure city

Program participation certificates awarded upon completion for professional development credentials.
