Although I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, my mother’s village, Ratnagiri, is famous for its many tourist attractions, which include beaches, forts, temples, and monuments. My mother was born in Ratnagiri and spent quite a bit of time living there. Once every three months, I travel to Ratnagiri. Aare Ware beach is one of the beaches that not many people know about—but those who do, adore this beach.

Just before I moved to Canada, my brother made a promise to show me the hidden gem in Ratnagiri when I came to visit my village from Mumbai. At first, I assumed it would be a typical beach with tons of people and pollution. I was stunned, though, when he took me there. I always feel at ease thinking about that beach, since it was so amazing.

Hilltops crowned in lush greenery encircle Aare Ware beach. When we were coming down from the hill, the view of the beach was mind blowing. I noticed that there was a zipline activity going on up the hill at that point. People in a zipline slide along a suspended cable, using a pulley attached to the cable for moving themselves forward and a harness to support them as they move from one location to another. We made a stop, and I went on my very first zipline ride. The people who worked there were kind and attentive. When they asked if I wanted to record a video, I obviously said yes. They then showed me how to securely hold my phone to keep it from falling into the water. Finally, my zipline began, and I had an amazing experience. I still remember how gorgeous the beach area was that I enjoyed seeing from the top. Ziplining was a unique experience, enhanced by the feeling of flying and the stunning scenery.

I relaxed on the beach for the afternoon after ziplining. A peaceful atmosphere was created by the soothing sound of the waves and the refreshing sea breeze. The beach is perfect for peaceful walks or sunbathing because of its smooth sands, clear waters, and gentle waves, which reflect blue and green colours and create a calming  environment.

I enjoyed a picnic with some local snacks, such as bhel, a famous Indian street food snack which combines rice, veggies, and tamarind sauce. It is a tasty and refreshing snack. All of the delightful foods are located in small stalls near the beach. We went for an enjoyable walk along the shore, and even collected seashells. Moreover, I recorded some videos and inscribed my name in the sand. Swimming lovers should go there at least once because the water is so pure and swimmable that you will not want to leave the beach. In addition, bathrooms and changing areas are available for those who have finished swimming and playing in the water.

There was still more to see on Aare Ware Beach after such a lovely afternoon. Seeing the incredible view that formed at dusk as the sun's rays met the sea was especially calming. We returned home after enjoying  the dazzling beauty of Aare Ware Beach; I am never going to forget it.
