A Cozy Place to Stay in Stratford, Ontario
Looking for accomodations in Stratford, Ontario? A Patch of Heaven B&B is a cute, cozy place to stay. Just blocks from the city's downtown, it is still quiet and warm, like the suburbs. It was the perfect homebase for our multigenerational trip to one of our favorite towns.
We were welcomed by one of the owners of this B&B as soon as we drove in. We were struck by their beautiful decorations and flowers outside. Gorgeous autumn colors drew us into the lovely home. There was a lovely sitting room connected to the dining room, with a fireplace and classical music playing.
The food was a fantastic start to each day. We were offered a perfectly balanced breakfast, with a great amount of delicious carbs. No meal was the same, which always made coming down the stairs in the early mornings to eat fun and exciting.
We stayed in the aerie, on the 3rd floor. With beautiful windows, comfortable chairs, a cute dining area (featuring a small fridge and plenty of coffee/tea accessories), and warm beds, we almost wanted to stay in and talk the night away instead of venturing out into the fresh air. And if you stay in the summer, it has a lovely outdoor deck, with seating and a fantastic, green view.
Our hosts, Eleanor and Bill, were very kind and considerate, making sure we always had what we needed...plus some.
Overall, we wished we could cozy up in this cute house just a bit longer, warm and tight in our beds, reading a book or two, sipping a cup of tea.
