Foodie Finds: Frankfort’s Bayview Grille
If you’re in Frankfort, Michigan to soak up the atmosphere (beach! Swimming! Sailing! Shopping! Theatre!). There’s so much to do in this small town that you’ll find yourself hungry time and time again. We love fusion for a more formal meal, and the smoked fish at Port City Smokehouse for a picnic, but if you’re looking for a great meal with a convivial, beach atmosphere, you can’t beat Bayview Grille.
You won’t miss it, either. Fronting the river, it’s a gorgeous green building, with a screened in porch (genius!). You can sit outside on the porch, or inside – we’ve eaten in both and they are all wonderful. Note: Summertime at mealtimes can mean a wait – plan accordingly. The staff is friendly and patient!
If you’re a breakfast person, you’ll LOVE what Bayview has for breakfast (including an amazing corned beef hash). But I’m less of a breakfast person and more of a dinner person. One such amazing and delicious dinner we had included fish sandwiches and a club sandwich. The fish sandwiches are exactly what you look for - crispy coating, smooth sauce, and tender fish. My husband’s club sandwich was crunchy with a perfect blend of ingredients – each bite was lovely! AND you can order with TOTS. Oh yes.
Want to experience Bayview Grille for yourself? Head to Frankfort, and enjoy.
