New Daily Photo Website: Pictures from Around the World
I've been lucky enough to find an amazing profession that feeds my love to travel and take photos; International Education. Over the last 10 years it has taken me all over the world, and allowed me to see places and experience things that most kids from upstate New York never dream of.
This site was originally created to help my family and friends in upstate New York follow my travels and discover the world along the way. However, a few friends suggested I open the site up to share my photos with educators and their students; and I wholeheartedly agreed!
Please visit the website for a Photo a Day from around the world and the United States. I hope it will become a morning ritual for you, and bring a smile to your face. Most of the photos will be of places and objects, usually with themes for the week. Content will be PG rated, with the occasional funny photo posted on weekends.
Previous themes have included animals and an Ode to Ramen. This week's theme is Trees! We will see trees big and small from around the world.
Joshua Beatty was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to Japan at age 16 as an international exchange student. That set him on the international education path, which has included working for the Japanese government and administering international professional development programs for educators for the Institute of International Education. He is currently a USAID-sponsored Emerging Markets Development Advisor Program Fellow in Jordan at the Institute of Mosaic Art and Restoration. Joshua has an MBA and has lived, worked, and traveled to more than 30 countries.
