Nominations are open for Frommer’s Top Destinations 2011 Reader Favorite
Frommers.com is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for Frommer’s Top Destinations 2011 Reader Favorite
Each year our global editorial team comes together to hash out what places deserve special attention in the upcoming year. Our picks could include a major city celebrating an important historical event, a smaller island you might not of heard of that just coming on to the tourism scene or a road trip perfect for families on a budget. The Frommer's Top Destinations list is a great tool for helping travelers make choices for the vacations. We've also added a Reader's Choice to the list -- I think it's great fun to see so many places being nominated by our readers before their final vote. - David A. Lytle, Editorial Director, Frommers.com
Every year, Frommer's travel experts gather to determine which destinations they think travelers should have on their radar for the coming year. This list highlights the smart alternatives to over-hyped spots and includes emerging cities and value destinations.
Last year, some of the destinations that made it to the shortlist were, Hawaii (the Big Island), United States, Copenhagen, Denmark and, Kerala, India.
This year Frommer’s is once again opening the list up to the public vote and travel fans can log onto www.frommers.com/go/topdestinations and nominate their top three choices for Frommer’s Top Destinations 2011 Reader Favorite. Nominations will be collected over the next couple of weeks, after which a shortlist will be announced. Travel fans can then vote for their favorite destinations with the winner announced in early November.
