Why teach English as a foreign language?

Teaching English as a foreign language is a great way to support yourself during your time abroad. The experience will differ from country to country, city to city, and of course person to person. Some people will teach in a school and some will teach in companies around the city; the students could be children, adults, or even a mix! They can come from all walks of life and enroll in classes for a multitude of reasons. But no matter where you teach or to whom, being an English teacher abroad will introduce you to a different side of the city that you wouldn't otherwise get to see as a tourist.
