Small village in Laos

Medicine Man 

Another photographer and I went to visit this medicine man in a small village near Luang Prabang to learn about how he administered medicine for his village, specifically around births.  He spoke with the translator and showed us all of his books and herbal remedies while his protege, his grandson, sat and watched us.  The medicine man of course learned his craft from his father.
