Disney + Bowling = Splitsville

A relatively new addition to Downtown Disney, Splitsville is not a typical bowling alley. Including 30 bowling lanes the two story building also contains billiards tables, a menu ranging from burgers to sushi, and music.

Perhaps best of all, the whole place is nostalgically themed after bowling alleys in their golden age while at the same time having a sleek and modern feel. Walking in, it’s immediately impressive. The din of blasting music, shouts, chatter, laughter, and the solid wooden sound of bowling pins meeting the floor hits you right away. A soaring escalator leads up to the second floor.

And don’t forget – you can eat separately in a sit down portion of the building or you can order food from the booths right on the lanes! Be warned, conversation is difficult due to the noise, particularly the pop music blasting form the speakers. Also, if you’re interested in paying a visit, be prepared to wait for a lane, possibly for a long period of time (Unless, of course, you make a reservation) as it can get extremely crowded. And keep in mind that this outing does not come cheap. There are definitely drawbacks, but if you’re looking for something to do in the bad weather or during an evening out in Downtown Disney, it can be a fun retro experience for fans of bowling.
