The Garden Route is known for its gorgeous views of the sea and mountains, diverse wildlife, and mild weather. Along the way, you can stop for outings like canoeing through Wilderness National Park, whale watching in Plettenberg Bay, or visiting a local winery.

Cape Town

South Africa’s second largest city is located just at the base of Table Mountain and within view of the sea, making for truly winning scenery. It is also close to the wine lands and therefore has some of the best food and wine in the country. In addition to history, Cape Town has an active arts and theater scene. Finally, if you’re feeling brave, the coast offers some of the best shark cage diving in the world, where you can come face-to-face with the Great White.
