Pet Travel: A plush travel bed for dogs
The American Automobile Association (AAA) estimates that approximately 92.3 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home between December 23, 2010 and January 2, 2011. 85.7 million of these travelers will be driving to their destination.
According to MSNBC, “leisure industry insiders predict that more people will be traveling with their dogs to winter destinations in 2010 than in previous years.”
With more and more people taking their furry children along as part of their travels, keeping them safe and comfortable is a priority. Cats and little dogs have a great advantage – there are many cushy carriers and car seats on the market to meet their needs. But what about a comfortable ride for big dogs?
Buddy Beds has the answer. The company offers Memory Foam Folding Travel Beds, designed to fit the back of most cars and SUVs. These ultra plush beds come in two sizes, medium ($199) and large ($249). Both contain 4 pounds of memory foam, a supporting foam layer, waterproof/breathable liner, washable taupe microfiber cover and carry handle.
Because they are portable, the Buddy Bed can be taken from the car and used as your dog’s bed in a hotel or wherever your travels take you.
Buddy Beds offers a variety of coveted beds for the home. The company received Animal Wellness Magazine’s Seal of Approval for their Orthopedic Memory Foam beds. The magazine only awards a Seal of Approval to products they deem to meet their standards of quality and effectiveness after rigorous in-house testing. The President/CEO of Animal Wellness even has a Buddy Bed in his office for his Labrador Retriever.
