Do you love haunted hikes? I both love them and get scared, which I guess is a sign of their greatness. Whilst in Fredericton, New Brunswick (a town I dearly love and can't recommend enough) this summer, a local theatre group, the Calithumpians, took us all around town and scared and creeped us out - with spooky stories of history, mayhem, and murder. A graveyard was visited (holy smokes!).

Yeah. A real graveyard.

The actors, all students, were extraordinary at bringing history to life. Take a look at some of the scenes we saw as we meandered through Fredericton...

Our tickets. But you can also just show up before it starts, and pay the tall, lean man with the old-fashioned lantern and cash box...

Hanging out at the back wasn't a good idea, as this frightening and silent man in sunglasses and red scarf showed up at several monuments on our path

Highly recommended at any time of year, but especially at Halloween...it's amazingly scary.
