SUN STUDIO - Standing inside Sun Studio where Elvis Presley was first discovered and recorded many of his early songs will give you goosebumps. It's hard to imagine what America would be like had Elvis not come along. The Memphis studio hasn't changed a bit, including the old ceiling tiles and sound proofing on the walls. Stand in the studio and hear the very first recording Elvis Presley did, recorded by the secretary of music producer Sam Phillips.

MOUNT RUSHMORE - Everyone has Mount Rushmore on their bucket list, but did you know you can get a sample of Thomas Jefferson's original ice cream recipe while you're there? Jefferson is known to have the first recorded recipe for ice cream in the United States - and you can enjoy it while you're there!

VACUUM CLEANER MUSEUM - Located along historic Route 66, the American Vacuum Cleaner Museum is a quirky look at American history - through vacuum cleaners! Follow the history of technology from the giant cleaning machines of early days through the decades to present day vacuum cleaners. Note the sizes, colors, and design changes as you walk through the museum.  Also pay attention to the cool marketing ads through the decades.  

BIG THINGS. SMALL TOWN - Visit the tiny town of Casey, Illinois, where a man decided to build the world's tallest wind chime as a tribute for his grandmother. He'd later go on to build the world's tallest golf tee, rocking chair, and now the world's tallest mailbox - all world records. Other "big" items can be found all across this little Illinois town. It's free to visit each one, and fun to take family photos in front of each one.
