#TravelWithPurpose is a monthly Twitter Chat dedicated to sharing and discussing ways in which travelers can create a more peaceful and understanding world.  The chat is a partnership between the Boston Hostel, Verge Magazine, and the Go Global Expo.  As purpose-driven travel organizations, the chat features themes that range from paying it forward to being a responsible traveler during the holiday season.  It is our collective belief that travel is one of the best forms of citizen diplomacy, helping individuals share their cultures with one another.  The monthly chat takes place on the first Wednesdays of the month, and includes six different questions that are specific to the topic at hand.  

This month, HI USA and Verge Magazine are collaborating to host a Twitter Chat on the importance of studying abroad. After HI USA's recent White House Travel Bloggers Summit, study abroad was highlighted as one of the most important causes for creating more global citizens in the United States. This month's showcases #TravelWithPurpose by all of the many reasons that students should #StudyAbroadBecause. Questions include why students have chosen to study abroad in the past, how study abroad can be made more accessible, and the top reasons why students should pursue a global education.
