Why Fly Manchester Airport?
Manchester Airport (MAN), located in Manchester, UK, is a wonderful airport. It has three terminals, and over 19.5 million passengers fly through it each year. It's the third busiest UK Airport, and 23rd busiest in Europe. Why? It's a Flybe hub, easy to travel to and from, and NOT in London! If you're headed to or from the UK and want to avoid London, flying Manchester is a great idea.
Here are some other reasons why using Manchester Airport for your UK flights is a great idea:
Airlines! There are over 60 airlines that fly to over 200 global destinations. If you're a member of any airline alliances (STAR, OneWorld, Skyteam), you'll be able to use your points. Airlines that fly Manchester include AirFrance/KLM, American Airlines, BA, Delta, Etihad, Finnair, Jet2, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and United. Arrlines that call Manchester a hub include BMI Regional, EasyJet, Flyby, Jet2, Monarch, Ryanair, and Virgin Atlantic.
It's clean and fast! Manchester Airport recently redeveloped and renovated. There's quicker security, great places to eat and shop, and several airport lounges.

Hotels! There are many Manchester Airport Hotels to choose from, including the Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport and Hilton at Manchester Airport. These hotels have great deals, and often include free airport parking.
The Concorde Experience! If you never flew the Concorde, well, it's too late. But you CAN take time to visit the Runway Visitor Centre. You can watch planes take off, explore aircraft (Nimrod, DC-10, Trident, Avro RJX), and see the Concorde. There's also a play area for kids (always a good thing). If you'd like to tour the Concorde, be sure to make reservations and book your tour in advance.
Visiting Manchester! Whether you have a few hours layover, or an overnight before you head out, Manchester is a great place to visit. Manchester is Britain's most cosmopolitan city (after London, of course). Known as England's Second City, Manchester boasts famous football teams, great architecture, a vibrant nightlife, plenty of shopping, and a deep cultural heritage.
