Fox Glacier: An Adventure on Ice
Fox Glacier, on the South Island of New Zealand, is one of the most accessible glaciers in the world. It ends in the middle of a lush rainforest, just 250 meters above sea level. It moves at up to ten times the speed of other glaciers. And there are many glacier tours that let you walk on the ice of the glacier itself.
All of those things make it an opportunity not to be missed if you visit New Zealand. I got to go on a four-hour hike on the glacier, and for those of you who haven’t visited Fox Glacier, here’s a 20-minute podcast with photos and video of our excursion.
